Moderate live and reported messages at the right moment

Evaluate messages, images, and links before delivery when the conversation must wait, or process reported content in the background.

Public channels, group chats, marketplace conversations, and private reports create different expectations for speed and privacy. Insion lets each flow use the same policy and record model while sending only the context needed for the decision.

Match response speed to conversation risk

Spam campaigns, phishing links, harassment, and unwanted explicit content can move through many conversations before reviewers react. Blocking every suspicious phrase creates false positives and frustrates legitimate users. Building attachment checks, account aggregation, event delivery, and appeals internally consumes far more engineering work than the first message check suggests.

One Insion integration connects those pieces, reducing the operational cost of adding conversation volume or a new message format.

Keep conversation context focused

Cover direct, group, and public-channel messages; image attachments and captions; external URLs; display names; channel descriptions; or reported conversation excerpts. Keep the channel, conversation, and sender attached so individual decisions can support consistent account handling.

Request an immediate result before delivering a higher-risk message. Process reported content in the background when the conversation should not wait. The same rules apply in both paths.

Separate ordinary conversation from harmful behavior

Phishing, Spam, Hate and harassment, Adult content, and Privacy and doxxing offer relevant starting points. Add custom rules that allow ordinary support and payment links in the appropriate channel while flagging credential requests, impersonation for fraud, repeated unsolicited outreach, or threats directed at a participant.

Choose a response that fits the conversation

SituationPossible messaging response
A public-channel message contains a clear threatStop delivery or hide it immediately
A marketplace message asks for off-platform paymentWarn, block, or route it according to marketplace policy
A private message is reported after deliveryEvaluate the reported content without delaying the conversation
Repeated violations reach your account thresholdApply restrictions across the sender's conversations

Your product decides which conversations require an immediate decision and which can be reviewed after a report. Insion applies the same rules in both cases while retaining only the context you choose to send.

Turn message results into product outcomes

An immediate decision can stop delivery or add friction before exposure. A background decision can remove a delivered attachment or update an existing report process. Account-status changes can apply across conversations while leaving the exact restriction in your control.

Configure the flagged-record count that triggers suspension. If that count later falls below the threshold, Insion can return the sender to compliant status. Protection controls reserve selected accounts for manual action. Appeals give eligible suspended users a defined review route instead of pushing every dispute into support.

The same policy and event foundation now works across conversation types, attachments, and reports without coupling safety logic to every messaging client.

Introduce moderation at the right conversation boundary

Start with a channel where exposure is public or abuse is already generating reports. Run test mode to evaluate representative messages without sending moderation webhooks or automatically changing sender status. Inspect results across languages, quoted messages, support conversations, and ordinary link sharing before enabling product action.

For immediate checks, define what the user sees if a result is delayed. For reported content, avoid sending unrelated private conversation history. Protect staff, safety, or specially handled accounts when automatic suspension would interfere with an investigation. After the first channel behaves predictably, extend the same policy and account approach to groups, attachments, or marketplace messages.

Document whether each message type is checked before delivery, after a user report, or both. That distinction shapes what a record event should do and what users should expect. Keep the minimum conversation context necessary for policy evaluation, and let your messaging service remain the source of truth for delivery, deletion, participant blocking, and any notification shown to the sender or recipient.
